The Mission:

The mission of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, based on (1st Corinthians 15: 3-11), is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all who will hear. Reaching out to the local community, the city and as far as God enlarges our territory.  Rose of Sharon Baptist Church will not be limited by man but only when God say to us “Be still and know that I am God”.  We will prayerfully serve all, as God direct our path.  Providing a place of worship and a headquarters for those the Lord has call to work his vineyard.  Rose of Sharon will reach out to those who are unsaved that they maybe lead to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and to unite with His church nurturing them in preparation for His return.

Our Method:

We will pursue the mission under the guidance of the Holy Spirit through:

Preaching. Accepting Christ’s commission (Matthew 28: 18-20), we proclaim to the world the message of a loving God, most fully revealed in His Son’s reconciling ministry and atoning death.  Recognizing the Bible to be God’s infallible revelation of His will.

Teaching.  Acknowledging the development of mind and character (Colossians 3: 16) is essential to God’s redemptive plan; we promote growth in the knowledge (2nd Peter 1: 3), a mature understanding and relationship to God, His Word and the created universe (2nd Peter 1: 5-8).

Healing.  Affirming the biblical emphasis on the well being of the whole person(Matthew 15: 30), we make the preservation of health and the healing

As a church family standing on the promises of our Lord and Saviour, we must Energize, Empower & Equip our total being toward the 3 M’s of this church:  Ministry, Mission & Maintenance.
